    Every Friday evening in January, Afro-futurist funk purveyor Sinkane spins sounds from around the universe of music.

    Sinkane's life's journey so far has taken him from birth in London to childhood in Ahmed City, Sudan to the only black Muslim skateboarding punk rock kid in Provo, Utah to playing drums for Caribou and Of Montreal and keyboards for Yeasayer. His debut solo album Jeeper Creeper is kind of what you wouldn't expect since you really don't know what to expect from a guy with that kind of resumé. And fresh and unexpected is always good.

    Free and open to all ages.
