Anyone capable of manifesting creativity is a farmer, in our book. The Farmers Block is a family-style block party featuring artists, musicians and djs, kitchen gurus, designers and, yes, farmers for an all-inclusive gathering.

Join us for a full day and night of good vibes, with a pop-up market of art, design and awesome music going down on the Moroccan Patio and late night in the Amigo Room. One of our favorite producers Mexicans with Guns, awesome DJs, organic food and cocktails, and local designers and artists bring rad madness to the desert.

+ Mexicans With Guns is the raw and exciting production-moniker/character created by Exponential Records honcho Ernest Gonzales. After prepping his Been Meaning to Tell You LP, EG set out to explore the depths of bass music and its unique sonic elements. His journey lead him to a mellifluous fringe where Mexico, London and the Dirty South fuse into one mysterious and club friendly mindset.

+ Tenshun aka Jon Calzo is an eclectic turntable/electronic music artist and beatmaker from san diego CA, head of Skrapez label and part of the Creatures and kilowattz crews. Blurring the lines of genre with a wide range of influences, Calzo mixes his own music with hip-hop, funk, polish jazz and scratch-dub.

+ “One of LA’s smartest young voices” says the LA Times. The Chicago-born and South LA-based Open Mike Eagle is an heir apparent to indie rap luminaries Busdriver, Aceyalone, and Pigeon John. He is also known for his comic performances at world famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Savvy enough to explain the nuances of the current financial troubles on one song, and regret his own drunken text messaging in the next, Mike Eagle is a standout in the new order of independent hip-hop.

+ Stereo 13 (formerly Existereo) of the Shapeshifters and Candy’s .22 has been making some of the most technically skilled rap music of the last decade with warts-and-all honesty. Whether taking the stage before Eminem or dropping songs with the Mars Volta’s Ikey Owens, the LA native's dues have been paid. Stereo 13 is currently keeping after it in the booth and on the road, raising eyebrows in anticipation of “The Good Fight”-his most recent solo work with LA producer Deeskee), his Retrospect mix-tape and “A Girl and Her Gun”-the newest album by Candy’s .22, his duo with Seattle rapper Barfly.
