    Friends of The Smell, curated by Dean Spunt of No Age, sends friends of the legendary downtown LA DIY venue that helped launch acts like Mika Miko, Abe Vigoda, Foot Village, The Mae Shi and HEALTH out to the desert every couple weeks or so to spread some of that Angeleno can-do around. December's special guests are Sister Mantos and Spaceships.

    December 28 - Spaceships
    Spaceships is the duo of Jessie Waite and Kevin LaRose, who play noise-pop-bedroom-garage-punk. They write songs about life, mountains and other things and have been compared to Times New Viking, Black Sabbath, and Guided By Voices.

    The Smell is a community-oriented, not-for-profit, volunteer-run music space in downtown LA, open to people of all ages who are interested in participating in and supporting an environment of creativity and artistic innovation and freedom.

    Free and 21+.
