  • PPM Records Presents Dunes : The Videos of Noctiluca + Dunes DJ Set

    Our friends from Post Present Medium present a screening of videos produced for Noctiluca, the latest album by Dunes, followed by a DJ set by the band.

    Dunes -- the triumvirate of Stephanie, Mark and Kate -- is inspired by subterranean and pop synth music from the 60s through the 90s. After touring for two EPs, they've been playing and recording in preparation for Noctiluca, their first full-length album on PPM. The album -- a culmination of their ethereal sun-bleached sound -- is accompanied by eleven videos produced by Dunes and some filmmaker friends for each of the eleven songs.  

     PPM is the the independent record label run by Dean Spunt of No Age. Their eclectic roster runs the spectrum from punk rock to acid house with bands like Best Coast, Abe Vigoda, Wavves, Mika Miko, Liars, Infinite Body and Soft Circle.
