Events in the Gym
Pulling on the heritage of YMCA and the building itself, The Gym is Ace Pittsburgh's central gathering place. An able and willing host to any event you might need a wide-open space for — concerts, performances, wedding receptions or a bout of casual company-wide corn hole — The Gym offers style, grace and a nostalgic nod to the sporting history of Pittsburgh. Or maybe you want a private screening of a major league game beneath the historic mural and along the track. The Gym can do that, too.
A portable bar adds to the flexibility of the venue, and a large communal table — built by the talented Zak Kruszynski of Bones and All — centers the room. With games, vintage benches and an analog photobooth, The Gym ensures extended play for gatherings large or small. Comes fully equipped with multimedia projection and a state-of-the-art sound system, good for corporate or private needs alike.
Events in the Ballroom
The Ballroom is our bright and flexible second floor space, fit for assemblies, concerts, lectures and anything else you dream up. Dappled light from the large windows accentuate the room’s 1920s architectural detailing and original ornate light fixtures. With sun-lit views over East Liberty, a stage and century-old wooden dividing doors, The Ballroom can play host to meetings and gatherings, parties both reserved and rebellious, weddings and banquet-style feasts. You can also use it for product launches catered by our on-site restaurant.
The Ballroom is 2,400 sf total with the dividing partition open and can accommodate about 200 guests. With the partition closed, The Yellow Zone has 1,630 sf of space, with a capacity of 110 and The Black Zone offers 775 sf of space, with room for 30 guests.
