Wednesday at the Square is a free concert series in the heart of New Orleans Central Business District at Lafayette Square. The series runs from March 6, 2024 – May 8, 2024 every Wednesday. Ace Hotel is the official after-party for each concert.

French Quarter Fest

An annual jamboree showcasing an all-out medley of local Louisiana music, French Quarter Festival transforms its namesake neighborhood into a free, blocks-big venue for one weekend. Booths by the city’s culinary stalwarts line the streets to keep revelers sated.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

Red Dress Run

A race by any other name. Red Dress Run is, well, what you’d think: Runners don red dresses and dash a two-mile track through the French Quarter and Marigny while raising funds for local causes.

White Linen Night

An Arts District mainstay, White Linen Night breezes into downtown on the first Saturday of August. Attendees dress in the titular attire and head out to Julia Street for a night of gallery hopping with stops to dine and drink along the way.

Southern Decadence

The multi-day extravaganza of Southern Decadence is a fiercely anticipated annual fete lasting Labor Day Weekend. The radical gay revel goes day through night with drag shows, dance parties and parades.

Bayou Classic

The Bayou Classic — a commemoration of historically Black colleges and universities, tradition, sportsmanship, marching bands and a little friendly competition — sees the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State University Tigers go head-to-head on Thanksgiving weekend.

Sugar Bowl

All in good fun. Two league champions, one from the SEC division and one from the Big 12, are destined to meet each December at this old-fashioned American college football game.

New Orleans Bowl

A rivalry rich since 2001, the New Orleans Bowl traditionally features schools from the Sun Belt and Conference-USA in a postseason Superdome matchup.
